            <div type="translation" xml:lang="DE" resp="Klaus Hallof"><ab xmlns="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0"><lb n="1"/>Unter dem Archon Euktemon; die<lb n="2"/>Antigonis hatte die zweite Prytanie<lb n="3"/>inne, für die Theophilos S.d. Xenophon<lb n="4"/>aus dem Demos Kephale<hi rend="sup">VII</hi> Sekretär war;<lb n="5"/>im Metageitnion am einundzwanzigsten,<lb n="6"/>dem einundzwanzigsten (Tag) der<lb n="7"/>Prytanie; Volksversammlung; von den<lb n="8"/>Vorsitzenden leitete die Abstimmung Lysimachos S.d.<lb n="9"/>Nausistratos aus dem Demos Prospalta und<lb n="10"/>seine Mitvorsitzenden. Beschluss des Volkes;<lb n="11"/>Philippides S.d. Philomelos aus dem Demos Paiania<lb n="12"/>stellte den Antrag: Da die Gesandten,<lb n="13"/>die entsandt waren zu<lb n="14"/>König Kassandros, darlegen,<lb n="15"/>dass Poseidippos, der sich zusammen mit<lb n="16"/>ihnen dort aufhielt, ihnen von Nutzen<lb n="17"/>war und erzeigt hat<lb n="18"/>das Wohlwollen, das er für das<lb n="19"/>Volk der Athener hatte, wolle beschließen<lb n="20"/>das Volk: dass man belobige Poseidippos<lb n="21"/>S.d. Of the presiding committee<lb n="8"/>Lysimachos son of Nausistratos<lb n="9"/>of Prospalta was putting to the vote and<lb n="10"/>his fellow presiding committee members. The People decided.<lb n="11"/>Philippides son of Philomelos of Paiania<lb n="12"/>proposed: since the ambassadors<lb n="13"/>despatched to<lb n="14"/>king Kassandros declare<lb n="15"/>that Poseidippos who accompanied them<lb n="16"/>on their mission was useful<lb n="17"/>to them in that he demonstrated<lb n="18"/>the good will which he had for the<lb n="19"/>Athenian People, the People shall<lb n="20"/>decide: to praise Poseidippos<lb n="21"/>son of Bakchios of Kothokidai and<lb n="22"/>crown him with a foliage crown,<lb n="23"/>so that as many as possible<lb n="24"/>may show love of honour in providing service<lb n="25"/>in the interests of the People;<lb n="26"/>and the prytany secretary shall<lb n="27"/>inscribe this decree<lb n="28"/>on a stone stele and stand<lb n="29"/>it on the acropolis; and for<lb n="30"/>inscribing the stele the<lb n="21"/>inspector and the trittys leaders shall give<lb n="32"/>20 drachmas.<lb/><hi rend="smallit">vacat 0,027</hi><lb/><hi rend="italic">crown</hi></ab></div>
